Stainless Welding Rods Monolith ER308L

AWS A5.9: ER308L
CSA W48: ER308L
EN ISO 14343-A-W-19 9 L
Terms of use
  • Welding is done with direct current, and argon is used as the shielding gas.
  • Not recommended for welding products exposed to environments with a high sulfur content.
Special properties
  • Resistance to cracking.
  • High cavitation resistance.
  • Thermal resistance.
  • Scale resistance at high temperatures up to 850°C (1562 F).
  • Ferrite content in the deposited metal after welding is ~4.5% (FN ~10).
Stainless welding rods Monolith ER308L have properties and applications similar to 308LSi, but are recommended in cases where a high silicon content is undesirable — for example, when there is a high risk of hot cracking during welding. They are used in mechanical engineering, oil, chemical, and food industries, for the manufacturing of pipelines, tanks, boilers, etc.
